DTF Printing process -Direct to Film is a process is that transfers prints onto fabric or other substrates using a heat-press mechanism. Unlike the DTG method, which only works on cotton fabrics, the Printer DTF method can work on cotton and poly blends.

DTF Printing Process
1: Print on the Film
first step is design the matter that you want to print on photoshop or coral draw software.
after arranging the paper size ,Insert the PET film in the printer trays.
Hit Print.
The inkjet printer will print “direct to film”, transferring the image onto your PET film.
Be careful not to smudge the print when you remove it from the tray!
2: Spread the Powder
This step is the application of hot-melt powder on the film that has the printed image on it.
You have to apply the powder while the print is still wet!
kindly look whether the powder spared evenly. if not some time your print remove some parts rom t shirts.
3: Melt the Powder
Just like the description indicates, your next step is to actually melt the powder in place. some people using hot air gun for melting the powder, that is not recommended. always use industrial oven, spicily design for melting the pet films.
The most common way to do this is just to put the direct to film DTF transfer in an oven for about 2 minutes.
Alternatively, if you’re already in the custom t-shirt business doing DTG or vinyl or white toner printer transfers you can use your heat press. Just make sure you are hovering and not applying any pressure. Or that the top of the press isn’t in contact with the transfer at all.
There are no times and temperatures for curing DTF transfers here on, but we will here tell u the same. set 140’c for 12 sec if your fabric GSM is 160 to 180.
After heat pressing ,leave the t shirt for 2 min below fan, when pet film cooldown remove it.
again for 5 sec heat press the t shirt for better bonding.

1.Can We print DTF on regular printer?
Ans-Yes its inkjet printer, but you have change regular ink with dtf. after that you have to remove roller from printer. there are some extra accessory need to printing like pet films, ink circulation kit, a software for printing and hot melt powder.
2.How long does DTF print works?
Ans-around 40 to 50 wash. its depend the quality of holt melt powder that you use on printing. after that proper timing and temperature for melting the powder. we are using 155 degree for 12 sec.
3.Cost of par print Dtf?
Ans-if we print DTF PETFILM and transfer the image on fabric, it will cost around 80Rs. in market vendor selling par print 150RS because in dtf we suffer more than 30% wastage of pet films.
4.DTF is profitable business?
Ans-if you are online seller than its good for you. because in online we charge as par customer design. but in offline customer not give that much printing cost like 150Rs par print.
suppose customer want 100 t shirt print same desing, so in dtf we charge 150par print, so amount of total charge is 150×100=15000Rs.
and customer not give that much amount.
5.Can we take bulk order in DTF?
Ans-if you have epsonL1800 than you are not able to print 100 pet films in a day. you need big roll to roll machine for bulk orders.
